Jon Kuehler has recently became an SWBS member, and he is the manager at Tradewind Airport (KTDW) in Amarillo, Texas.  Tradewind was one of the original Beechcraft sales centers in 1947. Jon has pictures of Walter and Olive Beech sitting with Shelby Kritser, the founder of Tradewind Airport, in 1946.

Jon is opening a new museum and there is also a restaurant on the field. Jon looks forward to showing off their trove of Beechcraft memorabilia and is pleased to host this one-day event, especially since it coincides with:

    Props & Pistons Car Show & Fly-In
Presented by Bomb City Hot Rods
    June 24, 2023 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

There are still more things to do in Amarillo and some may choose to spend the night before or after the lunch. See these KTDW links for additional information on fly-in deals (lodging specials) and fuel prices.

Event registration is encouraged so we may provide the restaurant with a headcount and perhaps try to arrange a common parking area for SWBS.

Please register now so we can cross check who is going, with the list Mark Campbell has. This registration at this point is for informational purposes only.

For now we need to know who is going, how many guests and some of your preferences.  There will be questions you must answer during the registration process.  Once we get a good idea of head count, a cost to attend the event will be published and invoiced to you.
